MEMBERSHIP CANCEL REQUEST

1. If approved, I understand that my membership will be canceled on the date selected as my membership termination date. If applicable, I agree to pay the 25% early cancellation fee.

2. If you decide to reactivate your membership in the future (and we hope you do) membership rates in effect at the time of reactivation will be applicable as membership rates are subject to change.

3. If you would like to put your membership on hold instead of canceling, you can submit a Membership Hold Request for a 30, 60 or 90 day period.

4. You must submit the cancellation form below a minimum of 30 days prior to your next bill date. We do not accept verbal membership cancellations. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within this 30 day period, the payment will be processed as scheduled. All payments are non-refundable.

5. Cancellation requests will be approved or denied based on the terms of the signed Membership Agreement upon initiating your membership contract.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cancel your membership for any reason, you lose all rights and benefits associated with your Assigned Commitment, including the price of your monthly payment. A member may cancel his/her membership at any time. The member will be charged a cancellation fee of 25% of their remaining contract. For example, if your membership is for 12 months and after month 5 you choose to cancel your membership, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the remaining 7 months left on your contract.

Any member who suffers physical disability that will prevent him or her from using the facility for more than six (6) months will not be charged a cancellation fee as long as the cancellation is accompanied by a doctor’s note documenting the injury and prognosis. These members may cancel memberships by notifying amanda@a2o-fit.com prior to the first day of the month to be cancelled.

6. If you’re sure you’d like to cancel, just complete and submit the form below at least 30 days prior to your next scheduled payment. This will serve as your 30 day written cancelation notice as required by your membership agreement.

Tereka Clark

COACH

Tereka Clark is from Florida. She is currently working as a respiratory therapist in hospitals. Before joining CrossFit, she was doing these cardio kickboxing classes and saw a video of this guy she knew at a CrossFit gym doing pull-ups and lifting weights and was like “Hey! I want to do that." So she joined a CrossFit gym in 2013 in Florida, took a travel assignment to Washington, D.C. in 2014, and hasn't left since. She loves CrossFit so much that she decided during the COVID pandemic to become a coach at CrossFit Panthera and earned her CrossFit Level 1 in September 2020.

I like to have fun. I want people to enjoy working out and have a good time doing it.

I want to help people reach fitness goals and crush them!

Kayla Schell

COACH

Kayla is currently focusing her time and efforts at the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services Training Academy, but plans to return to coaching in 2021. Kayla has been in the fitness industry for quite some time. She is a certified personal trainer and teaches various group fitness classes. Kayla discovered CrossFit while living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and takes an hour a day for herself at CrossFit Panthera. In high school, she danced, played softball, and did some weightlifting. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our facility along with a big smile, a hard work ethic, and great coaching.

My years of being in the fitness industry gives me more insight on the average person and why most people are here for fitness. Whether it be getting back into shape, or getting over a plateau, you’ve gotta see fitness from all angles.

I have been active all my life, so it’s been easy for me, so trying to help other people to change their lifestyles is so much more rewarding.

Jen Howell

COACH

Jen Howell grew up in Calvert County. She graduated from Northern High School and decided to continue to make this her home. After high school, she continued her education by receiving her Associates from The College of Southern Maryland in Biotechnology, a Bachelors from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) in Environmental Management with a minor in Biology, and then a Masters from UMUC in Secondary Education. Jen is currently a science teacher for Calvert County Public Schools. Her love for teaching, as well as learning new things for herself, continued in deciding to earn her CrossFit Level 1 certification. She shares her love of fitness with the rest of her family, including her husband (coach Brian Howell) and her three children. She started CrossFit in January of 2017 when her husband talked her into joining right before the CrossFit Open and then was eager to join in on the fun. For her, spending an hour at the gym is not just time to strengthen your body, but also your mind. “Allowing time to decompress and enjoy time with your community allows for you to step away for your stresses for at least an hour a day.”

I love to learn new things myself so being open to learning something new or extending my knowledge as well as wanting to share that with others can be very beneficial.

I love to help people learn new things and get better at things. Coaching is a great way to do both of those.

Drew Sekely

COACH

Drew has been doing CrossFit since about 2014. He grew up in Woodbridge, VA and recently moved to SoMD to be closer to his fiance. Drew loves to play hockey and ride motorcycles.

Mel McCamley

COACH

Mel started CrossFit back in 2012 or 2013. She has three girls and a husband that all love fitness as much as she does. Mel is also one of our nutrition coaches and enjoys helping clients find what works best for them to reach their nutrition goals, which in turn will ultimately help support their fitness goals during workouts.

I try to find as many ways as possible to say the same thing. Most people won’t understand “triple extension” right when they start CrossFit but they might understand “make yourself an inch taller,” “squeeze your butt,” or “jump tall then get small.” Everyone learns a little differently.

I grew up a swimmer and fell into coaching and teaching swim lessons very young. I actually spent over 20 years coaching or teaching before I “retired” from the pool. I was asked almost 10 years ago if I would be interested in coaching CrossFit. It was a bit of an adjustment because I worked with kids for so long but now I get a little nervous teaching a kids class. 😉

Andrea Melbourne

COACH

Andrea has been in the fitness industry over 35 years. Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, GroupX Instructor, Pro-Trainer, SUP COACH, and Business owner. Andrea discovered CrossFit in September 2016 and attends CrossFit classes for her own workouts. Andrea has worked with all ages, from kids to seniors. She leads an early morning outdoor fitness Beach Bootcamp year round in North Beach. Additionally, she owns and operates a Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) business in Deale, Maryland.

Connecting with people – discovering their goals and helping to overcome obstacles.

It was a natural progression from personal training and leading group fitness classes to coaching.

Sailing (I race every Wednesday night during the summer), paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, camping!

The hardest part is getting to the facility. All of the workouts can be scaled to meet you where you are today!

My life is full of extremes: I meditate, practice peace & love, yoga & drink green tea; but I enjoy extreme sports, challenging workouts, and competition (with myself). I also love a good dark beer!

Aaron Blake

COACH

Aaron was raised in Woodbridge, VA and graduated Longwood College with a degree in Business Administration. This is also where he met his wife, Megan. You might see her at the facility as well. They have an amazing son, Zachary, and a pretty good dog, Scout. Aaron found CrossFit in the fall of 2016. He had always lived an active lifestyle but had never found something that he was consistent with. CrossFit gave him the structure, intensity and community that had not been there in the past. He earned his CF-L1 in the summer of 2018. “CrossFit has been such a positive force in my life and I enjoy helping others to achieve similar success. I hope to continue my progress towards a healthier life and look forward to helping others do the same.”

What I try to do is make the time the athletes are there fun and engaging. It is their choice to come do something that many times is hard and uncomfortable. I hope I am giving them the energy and guidance they need to come back the next day.

I really enjoyed seeing how others were seeing “gains”. Confidence in body awareness, strength, endurance. I was seeing the same in myself and wanted to take it to the next level and see where that would take me.

Not sure I have one specific movement, but I tend to enjoy and like the challenge of the gymnastics movements.

It’s a tie between thrusters and any burpee that requires jumping on something.

I enjoy projects around the house. Remodeling, upgrading, yardwork, etc.

You are there for you. We keep track of times and weights so you can see your personal improvement not how you compare to others.

AMANDA PERETICH

COACH

Amanda both owns and coaches at the facility. As a previous high school science teacher, she loves to travel and has spent many summers with some awesome teacher research experiences (working on a fisheries research vessel in the Bering Sea, touring around Germany when they won the 2014 World Cup in soccer, or exploring the west coast by hiking Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens after working at Pacific Northwest National Lab). Amanda moved to southern Maryland in 2012 and joined Calvert CrossFit when it opened in early 2013. She struggled to jump on a 6-inch box or complete push-ups on her knees when she first started, but found it oddly exhilarating to be laid out on her back day after day at the end of a WOD wondering what just happened. She completed her Level 1 certification because she wanted to start a CrossFit Kids program and found herself wanting to coach everyone from kids to teens to adults. After co-owning and running Calvert CrossFit North from 2016 to 2019, she opened a2o Fit: home of CrossFit Panthera in July 2019 to expand coach-led classes in northern Calvert County/southern Anne Arundel County. CrossFit changed her life and she wants to help others discover the same passion and love for a balanced, healthy lifestyle that may involve kicking butt.

I’d like to think that I motivate and encourage athletes to be their best self. But I also want to keep people safe and minimize injuries. If you’re hurt, you tend not to workout, and then we miss seeing your beautiful face! I’ve also been there – out of shape, couldn’t do XYZ when I started, had shoulder surgery, worked full time, etc. So when I say “I get it”, I usually mean it.

I originally wanted to start a CrossFit Kids program and wound up teaching adult, teen, tween, and kids classes. Everything happens for a reason!

I love overhead squats and deadlifts. I also love snatches because they are so technique-driven. “Annie” (50-40-30-20-10 double unders & sit-ups), “Grace” (30 clean & jerks), and “Karen” (150 wall balls) are my top three favorite workouts.

Anything with pull-ups, toes to bar, or handstand push-ups. Oh, and front squats. They’re terrible. One day I hope to be able to complete my namesake workout, “Amanda”, as written because it has ring muscle ups.

I like to be outdoors or traveling when I’m not at the facility. Sometimes I run races. Sometimes I stay at home with my cats.

Just get started. You don’t need to “get in shape” to join us. It will suck at first, but as time goes on, you’ll learn to love the things you hate.

I’m pretty obsessed with organization when it comes to everything at the facility having a “place” to be, but my house is an absolute disaster 99% of the time (much to my husband’s dismay).
